The very existence of this farm is owed to the diligence, intelligence and the absolute fascination with nature of it’s farmers. This is Mexico’s ONLY pearl farm in Bacochibampo Bay at Guayamas Mexico on the Sea of Cortez. (this is also the ONLY saltwater pearl farm in North America). Pearl cultivation in general owes a round of applause to the producers of Cortez Pearls… they have been in production since 2004 and have weathered many disasters both large and small. The pearls that they bring to market are all of the highest quality and grown the unique “Rainbow Lipped Pearl Oyster” (Pteria sterna).
