Keshi Pearls

Keshi is a Japanese word that means "poppyseed". In salt water culturing, keshi pearls are unplanned pearls, often the baroque shaped pearl result of a rejected nucleus. In fresh water cultivation they are generally the result of a second harvest from a pearl producing mollusk.
