Japan Kasumi Ikecho keshi rope necklace

This 34" long rope of natural color keshi pearls (ikecho) from Lake Kasumi ga Ura, Japan. The pearls are long rice shape and approximately 3x6mm. Each tiny pearl is hand knotted on dark grey thread and the clasp is a solid 14K yellow gold simple hook. You can slip one of your favorite pendants over the hook of this clasp and play play play. Wear it long, wear it doubled : wear it knowing you are wearing little treasures from the "body of water beyond the mist". (Many many years ago, I bought these pearls on location from the farmers themselves. I noticed a large dusty bag in a closet and asked what they were, they said "mmmm, tiny old pearls"..
